Solaris Receives Arthritis Foundation’s Ease-of-Use Commendation for Nvi Dispensers
For a person with arthritis, simple daily tasks can be daunting. Things that most people take for granted, such as opening a soda can, writing out a check, or even using the bathroom, can be difficult and painful undertakings when your joints are afflicted with the pain and swelling caused by arthritis.
Solaris Paper has not overlooked this fact, and has adopted innovative technology to develop the new Nvi dispenser that electronically releases bath tissue for use in public restrooms. The dispenser has received the Arthritis Foundation’s Ease-Of-Use Commendation, which is a recognized distinction that serves to endorse the products that are most beneficial in improving the lives of the 50 million men and women afflicted with arthritis and mobility limitations. According to the Arthritis Foundation, arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States, with one in three people experiencing work-related limitations because of this debilitating disease.
The Nvi Electronic Touchless Dispenser is the first standard-sized, fully enclosed touch-less tissue dispenser in the industry. Don Totten, VP of Marketing for Solaris stated that “We are proud to know that our Nvi Electronic Tissue Dispenser, without a doubt, makes restrooms easier to use for millions of Americans.” In addition to it’s ease-of-use benefits, the dispenser being fully enclosed and touch-less enhances it’s hygienic properties as well, making it more sanitary than an exposed roll. The electronic dispensing also serves as portion control, leading to less over-use and less frequent changing of the roll, making it a smart choice for any facility, from an economic standpoint.
Solaris currently offers the Nvi Dispensers on a low-cost contracted basis, arranged through area sales representatives. The dispensers are filled with the Nvi LoCor bath tissue, are easy to load, and feature batteries that typically last about one year. Because of their unique design and functionality, these touch-less tissue dispensers are ideal for the following placements:
- Handicap Stalls
- Long Term Care Facilities
- Clinics and Hospitals
- Senior Living Communities
- Workplaces for Developmentally Disabled
- Adult Day Care
- Mental Health Facilities
- Childcare Facilities
The dispensers were rigorously tested by the Georgia Tech Research Institute by a panel of users with varying degrees of arthritis, and the results of the study proved the ease-of-use for those with mobility restrictions. With less reaching, better portion control, touch-less dispensing, and an attractive, compact design, the Nvi Touchless Electronic Tissue Dispensers are certain to be valuable asset to any facility that can benefit from a cleaner, easier to use dispenser.
